Many of our patients often need to get of the house to run a few errands or just to enjoy a ride in the car. Helping our ambulatory patients with transportation is a valuable service we are pleased to offer them.
Volunteers may now provide patient/caregiver transportation for a variety of needs, including medical appointments, shopping, attending church services or social activities.
To qualify as a transporter, a volunteer must have:
- attended the Patient Support training
- a current driver’s license
- current and qualifying automobile insurance and
- a favorable driving record
