Hospice of Marion County’s Newest Thrift Store Now Open
(Ocala, FL – June 3, 2019
Hospice of Marion County’s (HMC) grand opening of its newest thrift store opened on June 1 in Paddock Park Shoppes just off 200 and SW 34th Ave. in Ocala was a smashing success.
With more than 300 customers served and nearly $5,000 raised, the store marked the highest grand opening in sales for a 2,800 sq. ft. location among the other hospice thrift stores. Shoppers lined up early for the opening deals: 50% off all inventory, free gifts for the first 50 shoppers and lunch on the house for the first 200 shoppers who made a purchase. All proceeds benefit Hospice of Marion County patient support programs.
“Relying on our team of volunteers, all five thrift stores contribute significantly to our bottom line, helping us provide care to those without financial means,” said Hospice of Marion County CEO Rick Bourne.
Everyone is invited to visit all five of the HMC thrift stores to help support its ongoing mission of providing exceptional, compassionate end-of-life care to the Marion County community located at: 1) Belleview Regional Shopping Center, 2) Jasmine Square Shopping Center in Ocala, 3) Terrace Shoppes in Summerfield, 4) Six Gun Plaza in Ocala, and 5) Paddock Park Shoppes in Ocala.
New volunteers are needed at all five store locations. To learn more about Hospice of Marion County, its services and how you can volunteer, visit www.hospiceofmarion.com
