Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Event By Hospice of Marion County Nov. 16
(Ocala, FL – Oct. 22, 2019)
Hospice of Marion County (HMC) is hosting a Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event on Saturday, November 16 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at its Memorial Park and the Dunlevy-Levenson-Burchel Veterans Circle of Honor, located on the Helen “Mimi” Walker campus, 2895 SE 62nd Street, Ocala. This event aims to provide special recognition to our Vietnam Veterans whose service was not always recognized in decades past. A presentation by HMC’s Director of Bereavement Services Jessica McCune, will be on healing wounded warriors through the Soul Injury program. In attendance will be local dignitaries, a high school choir and local color guard. Marion County Veterans and families are invited to attend this event to honor their service to our nation.
Hospice of Marion County is a proud partner in the national We Honor Veterans program with Level 4 status, and is currently working towards obtaining Level 5, the highest designation possible. This presentation on November 1 is another way HMC provides Marion County veterans programs and services to enhance their lives.
