Thrift Store Volunteers

Find your retail niche at our beautiful thrift stores! You may assist in:

  • sorting through donations
  • serving customers on the sales floor or
  • operating the cash register.

Volunteers are vital to the welcoming and helpful atmosphere in each store.

Thanks to your dedication of time and talent, our stores generate income that supports unfunded programs such as children’s bereavement services or the Transitions program. So many people benefit from the revenue provided by merchandise sales.

Everyone loves a bargain.

Thrift store volunteers become friendsThrift Store volunteers appreciate the special friendships they develop with the staff and fellow volunteers. Specialized store training and a discount on items is provided.

Many of our volunteers are bereaved family members who want to occupy their minds after a loss. They also want to give back for the expert hospice care their loved one received. It’s a win-win!

We also welcome frequent shoppers to become part of our volunteer team. Who knows our merchandise better than they do? Volunteers of all ages, from 16 to 98, are encouraged to join the team. We have a job to fit every person!

The Thrift Stores are stocked with: furniture, clothing and shoes for adults and children; jewelry, accessories, house wares and one-of-a-kind treasures to satisfy even the most discerning shopper. New donations come in daily.

Complete the Volunteer Application, attend a one-day general orientation and the thrift store orientation and you’ll be ready to volunteer at a Hospice Thrift Store.
